Moving Out
First of all, THANK YOU for leasing from us. We’ve enjoyed having you as a resident and we hope you were able to truly feel at home while leasing our property!
When you have your move out day set, don’t forget to give the office 60 DAYS NOTICE either via email or the Resident Portal. Once NOLA4Rent confirms receipt of your notice, below is a quick and easy list of the next steps for your transition to ensure a smooth move out and the return of your deposit:
Cancel your Entergy Service for your move out date.
We need you to do this so that the service rolls back into our name when you move out
Cancel any future automatic debit payments on your account in the Resident Portal
Make an appointment with our office if you would like to be present during the final walkthrough.
The final walkthrough will be performed after the unit is completely vacated and free of furniture.
Provide our office a forwarding address
We will need it to return your security deposit. An accounting of your security deposit will be returned within 30 days of your move out.
Replace any burned-out light bulbs
Thoroughly clean the unit.
This includes the stove and refrigerator
Don't put out any items to the trash that are too large.
The city won't haul them away and then we will have to dock your deposit for moving services.
Leave keys
Please don’t forget to include your mailbox key if you have one!
